Julian Assange (Cumberbatch) and Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Daniel Brühl) begin their work in the internet underground as observers of the world establishment. They design a service that enables users to publish top-secret information, to expose the dirty laundry of governments and international corporations. Within a short time, they reveal more shocking facts than corporate media over many years. The plot thickens when Assange and Berg gain access to the biggest trove of  US government secrets ever leaked and become the world’s most wanted men. Drama ensues, involving one of the biggest contemporary dilemmas: what are the consequences of keeping secrets in a free society of the Google era, and what is the price we pay for their disclosure?
