Film description

This quintessential road and hippie movie is also one of the most important counterculture films of the late 1960s, auguring in the rise of a new and rebellious generation, with its slogans of freedom and contempt for hypocrisy. Traversing America on Harleys, two bikers (played by the phenomenal Hopper and Fonda) smoke real herb, while their leather jackets  act as their second skins. The duo’s excellent acting is equaled by that of Jack Nicholson playing a lawyer  who retreats from the hustle of “normal” life  and becomes the first victim of formal society. The groundbreaking use of a soundtrack featuring  Steppenwolf makes us all believe we were Born to Be Wild.
